Sara Mingus - Shades of Design

My design career started at my kitchen table, sewing the drapes I had pictured in my head but couldn't seem to find.  This turned into making bedding, recovering furniture, building that perfect office desk, and countless other projects.  I was hooked!  That was about 15 years ago, and I have been helping people get that same joy creating amazing living spaces ever since.  I never tire of following trends, shopping for that next great project, creating a new perfect custom piece of furniture, or stumbling over new and exciting design styles seen in my world travels.  

Today, Shades of Design focuses on creating a home that represents your current style and how you want to live.  We have all found ourselves taking a good look and realizing that our home is not keeping up.  Why shouldn't your dwelling be comfortable, classic, trendy, and luxurious?
